Apprenticeship Advisory Council The apprenticeship council advises the Commissioner of Labor and the Apprenticeship and Training Bureau Chief regarding board policy for the apprenticeship system in North Carolina. Council members are appointed, serve their terms, vote, and are reimbursed as provided by G.S. 94-2. The Apprenticeship and Training Bureau Chief serves as secretary to the council. The council meets at the call of the Commissioner of Labor. The Commissioner shall give 60 days notice to council members of the time and place of meeting, unless circumstances require shorter notice. Any council member may present an item for consideration by the council by submitting to the Commissioner of Labor the item in brief outline form, together with any technical or statistical documents relative to the subject matter, unless waived by the Commissioner of Labor. The Commissioner of Labor or the Apprenticeship and Training Bureau Chief shall issue an agenda to council members at least five days prior to a schedule meeting. The secretary to the council shall prepare
minutes of the meeting and shall provide each member of the council with
a copy of the minutes. |
