An Operational Procedure Notice (OPN) is a state-specific OSHNC operating
procedure which may clarify or replace a federal OSHA directive. An OPN may
also be written in the absence of a federal OSHA directive.
These documents were originally used as temporary operating procedures until
the Field Operations Manual
(FOM) was updated. The FOM was updated to include most of the OPNs in 2000.
At that time many of the existing OPNs were canceled. The FOM is now maintained
in electronic format, therefore updates to permanent operating procedures
are made directly to the FOM in lieu of creating new OPNs. The OPNs listed
below are special emphasis programs or temporary operating procedures.
To be certain you have the most current OPN, please check this page frequently
or bookmark this page for use instead of printing each document. The title
is linked to the document. Adobe Acrobat Reader 6.0 may be necessary to view
these files.
