Hazardous Chemicals Right to Know Act, N.C.G.S. Chapter 95, Article 18
The act requires all employers who “manufacture, process, use, store, or produce” hazardous chemicals to maintain a list of each hazardous chemical stored in the facility in quantities of 55 gallons or 500 pounds; including material safety data sheets (MSDS). The act also requires the employer to provide this information to the local fire marshal and provide other information when requested in writing. Certain exemptions to the provisions of the Right to Know Act are included.
