Planning, Statistics and Information Management
The PSIM Bureau compiles and analyzes Occupational
Safety and Health Division statistical data. Examples of reports generated
by the bureau include the following and may be accessed on the Statistics page:
- Occupational Fatality Investigation Review (OFIR) — summarizes
fatality investigations that have been or are being investigated
by NCDOL
- Most Frequently Cited Standards in Construction, General
Industry and the Public Sector
- OSH Annual Comparison Report (Program Statistics)
The OSH Compliance Inspection Targeting System is managed and
maintained by the bureau. PSIM also conducts the OSHA Data Initiative
(ODI) Survey, the Public Sector Survey, and maintains a monthly analysis
of data for the OSH Division's Strategic Plan.
PSIM manages the disclosure and release of documents and archives
investigation files for OSH inspection and non-formal complaint
case files generated by the
Compliance
and Agricultural Safety and Health Bureaus. OSH related Employment Discrimination Bureau investigation
case files are also disclosed by the PSIM Bureau, not by EDB.
