POSTER AND AGENCY REFERRAL INFORMATION

The N.C. Department of Labor requires employers to post the N.C. Department of Labor Notice to Employees poster with English on one side and Spanish on the reverse side. The labor law poster is two pages and includes occupational safety and health laws, state wage and hour laws, and information on workers' compensation and unemployment insurance. The law requires posting in English. A temporary version of the poster may be downloaded from the NCDOL Labor Law Posters Web Page.  Please order your free official-size posters by calling us at either (919) 807-2796 (Raleigh) or toll-free (NC only) 1-800-NC-LABOR (1-800-625-2267). Our call-center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In addition to the N.C. Department of Labor Notice to Employees poster, businesses in North Carolina are required by other state and federal agencies to post notices to employees about workplace laws, including unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, and equal employment opportunities. A complete list of the notice posters that may be required is found on the NCDOL Labor Law Posters Web Page, and these notice posters may be obtained from the individual agencies that administer the respective laws. In addition, as a public service for the employers and employees of North Carolina, you may download each of these posters individually or in a group on our NCDOL Labor Law Posters Web page.

You may also view a copy of the labor laws administered by the N.C. Department of Labor at http://www.nclabor.com/laborlaws.pdf
